Martin Hagman, Ex RAF Medic, is the Blyth Branch Community Support Representative. His role into co ordinate the team of BCS volunteers and complete the required administration. His team consist of people who want to work with beneficiaries at branch level, carrying out hospital visit, making phone calls to check on those unable to leave the home, and be a port of call for any other help with benefits forms, housing problems, and helping those new to the area to settle in by giving them local information.
The weekly Sunday breakfast club, 9-11 in The Wallaw is a regular meeting place where BCS support can be found as well as the Veterans Touchpoint in Blyth Library, Wed 1-3pm. (Upstairs - there is a lift).
Martin is also supported by John Bell, another branch committee member but who also sits on the Northumbria RBL County Committee advising on BCS and Welfare Support.
