The Poppy Appeal runs to its own yearly frame from the 1st October to 30th September. With Poppy Day being on the Saturday before Remembrance Sunday each year.

From street collections and static point collections to presentations, the Blandford Branch ensures that anyone who wants a poppy in Blandford can easily get one.

The Branch committee thanks all those who have helped with the Poppy Appeal including the street collector and shops who have supported the Appeal.

Is my poppy recyclable?

All parts of our poppies can be recycled. After Armistice Day you can recycle your poppy at any Sainsbury’s supermarket.

There are also a variety of enamel poppy pins that you can wear instead of a paper poppy. We have a range of alternatives available from our Poppy Shop. You can also choose to make a donation to the appeal each year.

We are committed to reducing the impact our poppies have on the environment and are working to remove all single use plastic in the future.
