My name is Andrew Doody I am the Poppy Appeal Organiser for Blackwood and District branch RBL. 

I took over as poppy appeal organiser in 2020.  Walking straight into the covid 19 pandemic this brought lockdown and much chaos making fundraising almost impossible.  Following on from that we moved into a cost of living crisis of which we are still in the midst of.

Having all the above to contend with the residents Blackwood and District have been amazing and your generosity has provided 3 record breaking years from our local poppy collections

The work of the Royal British Legion is never done and as volunteers become older and less able this makes room for younger generations to take up the challenge and provide vital funds for military veterans and there dependants. Please come along visit our branch see what we do. You do not have to be military to join and volunteer for the Royal British Legion.
