The Award of RBL Bicester and District Branch Honourary Membership to Mr Robert Glen, Chairman, E P Barrus Ltd

At a presentation held at E P Barrus Ltd on Thursday 3 March 2016 Brian Leach, Chairman, The Royal British Legion Bicester and District Branch presented a Certificate of Appreciation and Honourary Membership of the Branch to Mr Robert Glen, Chairman of E P Barrus Ltd. This presentation was made in recognition of the continued support generously offered by the Chairman and staff of E P Barrus Ltd to the annual RBL Poppy Appeal.

 This support includes the receipt of Poppy Appeal stock, the allocation of dedicated warehouse space for the sorting and storage of these items, the distribution to local destinations and the return of surplus items.

David Crabbe, the Branch Secretary and Poppy Appeal Organiser said the support offered unconditionally by E P Barrus Ltd considerably eased the logistics and administration of the Poppy Appeal. This allowed the team more time to concentrate on the collection of funds in support of the appeal.  Brian Leach, Chairman RBL Bicester and District Branch, expressed to Mr Glen the heartfelt thanks of all Members of the Royal British Legion and that of those military veterans, young and old and their families who, when in need, benefit from such generosity. This year the collection for the RBL Bicester and District Branch Poppy Appeal has reached a record total of £44,925.67. This magnificent total would not have been possible without the support of the Chairman and staff of E P Barrus Ltd.
