Cooper School Children Lay Remembrance Crosses and Roses at the St Laurence Church Caversfield CWGC Cemetery
On Tuesday 11 November at 11am a party of children from Cooper School Bicester attended the St Laurence Church Caversfield CWGC Cemetery to remember and pay their respects to the 25 fallen Commonwealth Airmen who are buried in the cemetery.
The Remembrance commenced with each child laying a Remembrance Cross and a pink and white rose at the graves follwed by a short Service of Remembrance conducted by the Rev Bob Atkin. The Remembrance concluded with the Exortation, Last Post, two minutes silence, reville and the Kohima. The salute was taken by Graham Moore who paraded the Standard of the RAF Association.
The RBL Bicester and District Branch would like to thank Cooper School for agreeing to attend and Branch Committee member, Brian Baily for organising this Act of Remembrance. It is hoped this Act of Remembrance with Children form Cooper School will become an annual event.
