Information on Berkhamsted

Berkhamsted is a market town in the Chiltern hills in Hertfordshire dating back to 1066, when it was founded. Berkhamsted is most famous for its castle which was built by William the Conquerer back in 1066.

Tring is also a town in the Chiltern hills and it is Berkhamsted's neighbour town. Tring is most famous for its Natural History museum, which forms part of the Natural History Museum in London.

Both towns are thriving communities with a variety of cafes, shops, bars, restaurants, etc...  Part of their popularity is due to great transport links and excellent schools for all ages.
