Poppy Appeal Launch

Despite it being a wet miserable day, we were well supported by Cadets, Veterans, Old Basing RBL Band and of course the Chelsea Pensioners.

The event started with a short parade from the Willis Museum, across the Top of the Town to the Gabardine Bar, marshalled by Steve Day, where we were served with a Curry Trench Meal provided by our local Nepalese Community or a Chilli provided by the Gabardine Bar.  In the Bar we were treated to some good old-fashioned music hall classics by the ukulele and harmonica playing Chelsea pensioners.
