Reflections on Remembrance 2024

Look back at Remembrance 2024 via THIS LINK

Membership Fees

At the Annual Conference at Newport in 2024, it was agreed to increase membership fees.

Starting September 2024, the membership fee increased by £2 and will do likewise each year for the next five years, until 2028. This means that from the 4th of September 24, new members and those renewing paid £20.

You will be aware that, your Branch also levies a fee which is added to your membership fee and then paid into the Branch account.  As we went into County Support, we felt it was unfair to levy a Branch fee.  One of the last actions of your committee was to remove the levy.  We may reinstate it if the Branch regains full status.

Direct Debit Payments for Membership Renewals

The RBL has received feedback that there is some confusion over how Direct Debits payments for annual membership fees appear on members' bank statements. The RBL confirmed that payments show under the account name ‘Charles Novacroft’, not RBL. These are all legitimate payments, as Charles Novacroft is a trusted payment partner. Members who are Direct Debit payers were advised in recent renewal letters.  A follow up email has now also been sent to reduce any further misunderstanding.
