The Austin Branch was first established in 1923 and and was one of 4 industrial Branches in the country, It was at the Austin Motor Company in Longbridge and members were required to be Austin workers.

The Branch moved to 82 Quarry Lane Northfield Birmingham in 1943 and took up premises bought from Lt Commander Charles Englebachs estate after his death in 1943 it became the Charles Englebach Memorial Club.
