The Poppy Appeal Team of volunteers in Arundel has shown its fundraising skills by once again improving on its Poppy Appeal total. Our last year's (2022) final total of over £17,500 locally was amazing. Which contributed to the Royal British Legion’s grand total of £47 million which helps to fund the crisis grants which the current cost of living crisis is likely to exacerbate; specialist dementia care and sport-based recovery programmes. This year (2023), the current Poppy Appeal total is £19,250, with this changing slightly in the future with further donations. Therefore, this sum is nearly £2000 more than last year!
