On Tuesday 22nd May 2012, Armagh City Council’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Freda Donnelly, hosted a Council Reception in our Branch and Club premises in recognition of the support services offered by our Branch.
Joining members of both the Branch and Club Committees were Branch Members and guests which included Mr William Irwin MLA, Councillor Sylvia McRoberts, Dean Gregory Dunstan, Mrs Cathy Donnelly President of St Patrick’s Conference Saint Vincent de Paul, St John Ambulance, Order of Malta and representatives from the PSNI and NI Prison Service.
Our friends Armagh Old Boys Silver Band provided a musical greeting at the entrance to the Reception, and Comrade President Rodney Hunter welcomed all guests on arrival. Everyone enjoyed the hospitality offered by the Council, and had a chance to catch up with old friends, or even to make new ones.
The Lord Mayor was presented with flowers by Comrade Treasurer, Mrs Jackie Hammerton.
