The Ackworth and Pontefract Branch was registered in December 2021, so is now over 100 years old.

Over that time the branch members have honoured the fallen at the war memorials in Ackworth Village and Pontefract

Through our Poppy Appeal organiser we have organised the poppy appeal each year, collecting donations in the Pontefract and Ackworth area.  To facilitate this important fund-raising effort we rely on a loyal group of Poppy Volunteers who help to look after our Poppy Stalls in local supermarkets.  If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer please contact our Poppy Appeal Organiser, (See Branch Information)

The branch was honoured to take part in GP90 - a Pilgrimage to Ypres in 2018, 90 years after the Great Pilgrimage of 1928.
