Events in 2018

Dedication of the Garden of Remembrance takes place on Saturday 3rd November 2018 at the South Africa Memorial, Duncombe Place, York YO1 7HD, there will be a short Remembrance Service commencing at 1030 hours followed by wreath laying and the planting of crosses in the Garden, All are welcome to attend and plant your own cross of Remembrance. Crosses are available from the Poppy Appeal Organiser and will also be at the Memorial on the day

The Festival of Remembrance 2018 is planned to take place at York Barbican, YO10 4AH at 15:30hrs in the afternoon Sunday 5th Nov. 

Remembrance Sunday 11th November 2018 The ex-service contingent is to form up in Stonegate outside the Punch Bowl at 1020 ready to march off at 1030. The Remembrance service is to be held in at the York City Cenotaph in Memorial gardens. Those ex service members who feel unable to join the parade are welcome to attend at the Memorial Gardens YO26 4ZF
