Welcome to the Uckfield Branch of The Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

The Uckfield Remembrance Parade and Service will be held on Sunday 13 November 2016 and following tradition the parade will form at 2.00pm in the Luxford Car Park. The Parade Itinerary is as follows:

1400hrs     Guests and participants meet at Luxford Field Car Park.

1425hrs     Parade Forms.

1435hrs     Parade departs for The Church of the Holy Cross.

1500hrs     Remembrance Service at The Church of the Holy Cross.

1550hrs     Exit Church, wreath laying at War Memorial and the

                 playing of the Last Post.

1610hrs     Parade reforms and returns to Luxford Field Car Park.

There will also be a short service and the firing of maroons and the playing of the Last Post at the War Memorial at 1100hrs on Armistice Day Friday 11th November.
