Dedication of New Standard on 5th September 2021.

A service took place on Sunday 5th September 2021 in St Andrews Church to dedicate a new Standard for the branch. The service was conducted by the venerable Vernon Ross, Archdeacon of Westmorland & Furness. The service included the Laying Up of the old Standard which now hangs in the Church for safe keeping. Attendees included the Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria, Mrs Claire Hensman, various Councillors, members of the RBL County Committee, the Headmaster of Sedbergh School and the Headteachers of Settlebeck Secondary School and Sedbergh Primary School.

Centenary of the Branch on 11th December 2022.

The branch celebrated its centenary on Sunday 11th December 2022 with a special service in St Andrews church to commemorate this historic occasion. There were displays  of cascading poppies in the Ladies Chapel and at the Lych Gate, as well as a number of information panels at the back of the church, including a history of important events and milestones and the work and responsibilities of the branch. The centenary pennant which was attached to the Standard was blessed by Reverend Andrew Burgess at the beginning of the service.
