Rushden Branch

Shoulder to Shoulder We Knit Together.

Three generations of one family raised £50 for The Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal by knitting poppies and selling them on to family and friends. Karen Cooper, her Mum Gerry and Grandma Olive spent a fair few hours knitting away.

Karen downloaded the pattern from TRBL website ( But added some variations to produce unique and individual designs.

The Rushden Branch of the Legion would like to extend their thanks and gratatude to the three ladies for all their hard work and efforts.

A very well done ladies hope those sore fingers get better very soon.

Also Emma Richardson and friends took up the mighty knitting needles to craft away to produce poppies that she sold in her shop Manfield Crafts on Griffith Street in Rushden.

They raised a grand total of £166.00 towards the poppy appeal. A very well done and a big thank you to Emma, all the knitters and the customers of Manfield Crafts.
