The Newmarket and District Branch was formed in the early thirties and an associated club established in about 1965. At about the same time a dispute between members led to the  creation of the breakaway Exning Branch.

Sadly the club eventually failed and the property sold. The proceeds of the sale are held in trust by Head Office and discussions are under way with the Charity Commission as to the future use.
