Welcome to the National Professionals Branch of The Royal British Legion
The National Professionals Branch of the Royal British Legion is, as the name would suggest, a branch with national reach, that looks to bring together like minded people from across the professional sphere to support the Legion in all of its endeavours.
Although we have an inherent leaning towards the military and security sectors, our members are drawn from a vastly broad range of society. Anyone can join us to help ensure that we keep Remembrance alive, fundraise for the Legion and continue to support those serving personnel and veterans who need us.
The Legion is here to help members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families. And we’re not going anywhere. Members get together through the network of branches and clubs all over the country and overseas to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.
We support serving and ex-serving personnel all year round, every day of the week.
Our support starts after seven days of service and continues through life, long after service is over.
Joining our Branch
If you have an interest in the objectives of the Legion and want to help and support for those who have served and their families, come and join us. We welcome men and women, whether they have served in the Armed Forces or not.
Legion membership ensures that
- Remembrance is kept alive and that the sacrifices our brave Service men and women have made are never forgotten.
- The ex-Service community have a voice and that their concerns are brought to the public eye.
Becoming a member also provides the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of activities and events held locally, regionally and nationally throughout the year. If you would like to join us and help in our efforts you can do so here: RBL Membership Form
Remembrance Banquet 2019
The Chairman and Officers of the Royal British Legion National Professionals Branch are pleased to announce the details of this year’s annual Remembrance Banquet, which will be held at the magnificent Skinners’ Hall (8 Dowgate Hill, London EC4R 2SP) by kind permission of the Master and Wardens of the Worshipful Company of Skinners.
The evening will begin with a sparkling reception in the gorgeous, oak panelled Outer Hall and Old Court Room, followed by a lavish three-course dinner with wines, coffee and petit fours in the Great Hall. The Great Hall dates back to 1670 and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful dining halls of the City. The dinner will be followed by a cash bar in the Old Court Room, with access to the roof terrace.
The Remembrance Banquet is an excellent opportunity to meet other members of the branch and aims to pay tribute to the selfless dedication and professionalism of HM Armed Forces and the Security Community. It will be attended by a number of senior military figures and dignitaries from across the civilian and charity worlds.
The cost of the evening will be £110 per person. The dress code is dinner jackets with decorations, mess dress or national equivalent. Carriages will be at 11.30pm.
Please direct all enquiries to the Membership Secretary by email to RBL Banquet if you should like to attend.
