The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. This now includes all conflicts since WW2
Remembrance Sunday 13th November 2016 in Münster at Waldfriedhof Lauheide in Münster/Handorf.
The meeting place will be the car park opposite the cemetery. We will meet at 10:00am.
We will move from the car park to the British war graves.
The service will be supported by bagpiper Graham Gray and the RBL standard bearer. There is also the chance to obtain poppy crosses after the service for individuals to lay themselves.
We will also have a short service of Remembrance at the German, Polish and Russian war graves including a wreath-laying ceremony. Like the years before.
After the services we invite all persons to the Altes Gasthaus Lauheide, entrance is from the top mof the car park. You will require tickets for Tea, Coffee and Cake. These will be available for a small donation of 10€ per person. children under 14 will be 5€. Availableon the day from Helga Tyler Branch Treasurer.
After so many people turned up last year. We would like to see you all again this year to show your respect to the fallen. Dont forget to tell your family and friends
