62 members and guests enjoyed the birthday party of Robbie Burns organised by The Mojarcar Branch of The Royal British Legion at The Kimrick. The Burns
Night started with the haggis being 'piped in' by Keith Hunter in traditional
style and the evening's "Rustic" Alastair Manson addressed the very tasty Haggis
with An' cut you up wi' ready sklicht whilst plunging the blade from end to end
with wild enthusiasm. During the many toasts of the evening, the guests were
entertained by Jeff Proctor offering a toast to the Lasses, mistakenly referring
to the famous canine of the screen until his wife Jill corrected him and was
able to respond in her Toast to the Laddies. The tam-o'-shanter black woollen
beret was worn by Jeff who translated for those not acquainted with the Piper's
reading from Burns' poem
