We are a very active Branch and members can enjoy being involved in a wide range of activities that occur regularly at known times during the year. Photographic examples from the past several years are at Photos of a Busy Branch.

Standard Bearers attend the County RBL organised event in Leicester.

Branch Anniversary Dinner

Semi-formal occasion with invited guests.

RBL Annual Conference

Elected delegate, Standard Bearer and Secretary have attended

Market Harborough Carnival

Branch members erect and man a publicity/recruiting stand

Armed Forces Day Event

Lunch with RNA & RAFA on previous Veterans Days. Now organised by a committee including the local Council.

September/ October

Coffee Morning

In aid of Poppy Appeal

October

Branch Annual General Meeting

After a brief general meeting. A Poppy Appeal Awards presentation and a buffet follows.

October and November

Poppy Appeal

Members are much involved in preparing and distributing poppy trays, collecting boxes and wreaths; street and house to house collecting; manning the Market Stall. More volunteers are always needed.

November

 

Garden of Remembrance open during Remembrance Week

Set up and later removed by member volunteers. Daily Sunset ceremony.

Armistice Day Events

Wreath laying at Welland Park Memorial then at the WW2 Memorial Gates on The Square following the Two Minutes Silence.

Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service

Service at St Dionysius Church , then wreath laying at the WW1 Meomorial Cross on The Square.

Remembrance Concert

Performed by the Harborough Band in aid of the Poppy Appeal

De Montfort Festival of Remembrance

Outing arranged for members.
