‘Rocket’, the rock and roll local band will perform popular rock songs and ballads from the 60s, 70s right up to date.  Tickets available from the Legion Club or Sharon Mooney.

Eminent war historian, Gary Sheffield, will deliver a talk entitled ‘How the First World War Shaped the Modern World’.  Mr Sheffield is an academic at the University of Wolverhampton, specialising in military history and has published widely and contributes to many newspapers, journals and magazines and frequently broadcasts on television and radio.  One of his most recent books is about Field Marshal Douglas Haig (who founded the Poppy Appeal), and it was highly praised in The Daily Telegraph.

Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial, Village Square, Lambourn.  The Choir and Clergy will gather around the War Memorial and at 11am there will be a two-minute silence. A short Church Service will take place afterwards.  At 12 Noon all are welcome to a complimentary buffet at the Royal British Legion and our President will give a short speech.
