Large Poppies erected by 'Kingsbridge in Bloom' in association with The Kingsbridge & District RBL Branch. These are jst the first stage of a year to commemorate the anniversary of the end of The Great War.

The Chairman Leon Lock and past Chairman John Peacock travel to Belgium & France in August to take part in ceremonies involving over 8000 delegates of Royal British Legion members from all around the world.

Kingsbridge & District Branch have achieved a total of £18,230 up to February 2016.

So well done everybody, and a big Thank You to all the people of Kingsbridge & District who have been so generous again. 

Thanks also to all the collectors and to the Branch members who gave such great support.

We hold occasional fund raising evenings with live entertainment at the RBL Mill Club. These events are in support of the Poppy Appeal. Details are on line and by telephoning the club .

We are needing more volunteers for 2016. Fixed point collectors at both our Supermarkets, Seats can be provided and the management are generous in refreshment! We need collectors in Fore Street and the Quay shopping area's. Also collectors and distributors in the villages around Kingsbridge.

Collectors can do 1 or 2 hour shifts to suit themselves.
