Opening of Miniature Railway, Greenhead Park
The Huddersfield Society of Model Engineers very kindly ran the miniature railway for the Mayor of Huddersfield's chosen charity on Easter Monday. All money raised by the train on that day was donated to the Royal British Legion.
 

Branch Members Visit Ypres, Belgium
In April 2017, members of the Huddersfield branch of the Royal British Legion visited Ypres, Belgium, to see the Last Post Service at the Menin Gate, and to participate in a battlefield tour of the surrounding areas.
  

Coffee Morning, Town Hall
Huddersfield Royal British Legion held a coffee morning and craft fair at Huddersfield Town Hall on Saturday, 10th June. Several craft stalls were in attendance to help draw in the crowds.
 

Odeon Cinema, Huddersfield
When Dunkirk was screened at the Odeon Cinema in Huddersfield over the weekend of 21-23 July, Royal British Legion members were there. A huge thank you to Odeon for allowing us to loiter in their foyer over the weekend.

Beamish Museum, Durham
On Thursday, 14th September 2017, branch members enjoyed a trip to Beamish, the living museum of the north.

Tri-Cadet Games Night
Parade night at the Drill Hall was transformed into something completely different after the British Legion arranged a Games Night for Huddersfield cadets.

 
Poppy Shop, Huddersfield
The Royal British Legion are happy to have the support form a great community in Huddersfield. Please show YOUR support by visiting them in their Poppy Shop in the Packhorse Centre, Huddersfield, between 28 October and 11 November.

 
Garden of Remembrance
British Legion members, veterans and cadets gathered in the town's Market Place for the Dedication of the Garden of Remembrance. A brief service took place and two minutes silence was observed.
