Minutes of the Meeting held on 17 Aug 2016

 

  1. Meeting Opening:The Meeting opened at 19:05 hours with a Homage to The Fallen

  2. Present: There were20 Members present.

  3. Apologies:There were 8 apologies

  4. Minutes of the last meeting: It was proposed by Eric Colley and seconded by Albert Austin, that the Minutes of The Previous meeting be passed as read. Carried

Proposed by Gail Leach, seconded by Jim Mees, that the branch nominate Bryan Green for the role of County Vice Chairman. Carried

October is AGM. Nominations for Branch Posts should be submitted at September Meeting.

The Treasurer then gave an up to date review of arrangements for the forthcoming Poppy Season covering the following issues:

Volunteer numbers

Price Lists

Car Park Permits

VAT

Gift Aid

 

The Chairman gave an update on the “Morrisons” situation

 

  1. Other Business:

It was proposed by Faith Austin, and seconded by Kath House, that Walter Whiteley, Chairman of the Shiregreen Branch, be made an honorary member of the Frecheville Branch. Carried

Diary Dates for September:

3rd Sept, VC Plaque for Capt Allen (RAMC), Barkers Pool. 11:30 am.

Chairman: There being no further business, the meeting closed at 20:00 hours “The Queen”

  1. Addendum:

After discussion with the Landlord of The Angel, It was proposed that The Branch holds a Christmas Pie'n'Peas Supper, at the pub, on Wed 7th Dec. Costs, Timings, Format etc to be determined. There was general agreement and this has now been booked.
