The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian
of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day
traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their
lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

The Dowlais Royal British Legion branch takes responsibility for
the Parades at Dowlais,Aberfan, and the Mayphil/Kayser Bondor
site.
ABERFAN.
The parade will be on the 4th November 2012,march off from
community centre at 10-30 led by the Llywydcoed Band,service at the
war memorial at 10-40.
MAYPHIL/KAYSER BONDOR.
Parade will take place at the Goat Mill Road on the 9th
November 2012 at 14-00.
PANT.
The parade at Pant will take place on the 11th November 2012,
the parade will form at the Hafod at 09-15,the service will take
place at Christchurch Pant
09-45.
There will a reception at the Morlais Tavern after the parade.
MERTHYR.
The Merthyr service will take place at St Davids church on
11/11/12 at 14-30,all participants should be seated by 14-15.
