Datchet

At Berkshire County Conference 2015 Datchet Branch were awarded the Pirouet Shield and the Humphries Trophy. These were presented to our Past President Mick Rosie.

The Branch won as best Small branch in the categories of largest increase in membership and most efficient branch.  We also subsequently won the Lister Cup at National level in the same category. This was presented to the Branch President at the Annual Conference in Southport.


Datchet branch raised over £12,000 during the 2016-2017 Poppy Appeal year

Events included Armed Forces Day, a quiz night and the village fete.

Thank you to the Golf Club, Datchet who donated £65 to the branch raised through holding a quiz night, we also raised £62 with a raffle.

For Armed Forces day we held a church service and a barbecue raising £925

Thanks also go to Datchet Football club who helped us to raise £86 at the fete. 


During the year 2013-2014 Datchet Royal British Legion helped to raise £10,011 for the Poppy Appeal

Thank you to all those who attended our 90th Anniversary Church Service on 22 March 2014 where we raised £320. The WWI event on Datchet Village Green also created good interest in the branch and we have reached our target of 90 members by the end of our anniversary year.

Datchet Branch raised over £600 at their Remembrance Day service on 9 November 2014. Many thanks to all those who attended.



 

Previous events include -

An outing to the Tower of London. Following a private tour of the grounds we retired to the Yeoman Warder's Club for a very pleasant meal and drinks, at 10pm we witnessed the ancient Ceremony of the Keys.

In the news - Datchet branch have been featured as the Club of the Week in both the Slough and Royal Borough Observers.
