The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom that we enjoy today.

When Remembrance Sunday falls on any day other than 11th November, a short service of Remembrance is also held at local War Memorials at 11:00am on the 11th November.

See our "Armistice Day / Remembrance Sunday" section of our "News & events" page for details, when available, of what is happening this year.
