Chipping Campden

Chipping Campden nestles quietly in the north Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town began life as a small Saxon settlement and grew prosperous as a result of the wool trade. Today it is a magnet for tourists and for people coming to live here as they retire.

Our meeting place, Braithwaite House, was formerly used as Guild library and also as a hostel for young unmarried men. It was bought for £900 by three local men and given to the Legion. Local membership is now about the 300 mark and we cater for all age groups. Our Club entertainment at the weekend ranges from punk rock and blues to the more middle of the road.
