POLISH CROSS COMMEMORATION SERVICE.

 TUESDAY,13th OCTOBER 2015

This year is the 75th anniversary of their fateful crash in which all three aircrew were killed. To mark this occasion, we have invited guests to a Commemoration Service in the Watchwood Plantation, Calverton, on 13th October.

The son of the pilot, Professor Jan Gebicki, along with his relatives and grandchildren from Warsaw, will be attending. Jan and his family are arriving from Australia on the 12th October. They are not able to stay long in the UK but will be attending the Commemoration Service and also a short Memorial Service on Wednesday 14th, October at Wilford Hill Cemetery, Nottingham, where all the aircrew are buried.

Please note!!   There will NOT be the Remembrance Service in the Watchwood Plantation  prior to the Remembrance Day Parade in the village. However, we will continue to lay wreaths at the Calverton Colliery Memorial, (pit wheel, Hollingwood Lanel), on Saturday 7th November at 11.00am.
