Eydon Fête '19

Fun & Frolics in Eydon '19

A proper old fashioned do was Eydon Fête this year, with a few modern twists. It was lovely weather for the first day of September 2019, and the event was well attended. We made nearly fifty quid in donations and got a couple or three possible new Members to follow-up, so we weren't disappointed, even though we couldn't say our gazebo was "busy".  Classic cars seems to be a feature of Fêtes these days and Eydon was no exception, that's a 1935 Wolseley Hornet, an Austin 7 and a Morris 8, and a 1950's Riley's cockpit. There were lots more, multiple MGs, Morris Minors and a Ford Corsair like I had way back in the 1960's!

There were good old fashioned games, like nine-pins (skittles) and lots of home made goodies on sale. It was also a dog's day, with a show AND...

A race or three, with a real rabbit skin to chase...
