Byfield & District RBL's Meeting's Minutes' Archive 2018

REMINDER: Our Branch Meetings always begin with The Act of Remembrance followed by The Loyal Toast. Those present are listed and apologies recorded. As those items are a formality, the Minutes' précis published here will not particularly mention those. Similarly, as this is a public domain, the Chairman & Secretary reserves the right to edit from the précis any items considered sensitive.

Tuesday 4th December 2018, we were in The Royal Oak in Eydon.

On Monday, November 5th 2018 in Byfield's Village Hall Meeting Room - we had our AGM.

On Tuesday 2nd October 2018 in Aston-Le-Walls' Village Hall, Main Street, NN11 6UF; Bob spoke of his personal experiences of GP90.

On Monday, September 3rd 2018, China was on the agenda, described by Tim Boddington; China, a strange and wonderful land nothing like what you expected.

On Tuesday 7th August 2018, in Byfield VH; Graham Patenden completed his story of Britain's great eccentric Col. Fred Barnaby.

On Monday 2nd July 2018 in Byfield Village Hall's Lower Annexe, Bob Cubitt cleared-up any confusion about Commandos.

We were in The Royal Oak in Eydon for the Meeting on Tuesday 5th June 2018.

On Monday 14th May 2018 in Byfield Village Hall's Lower Annexe, Steve Dimmer told "Tales from the Trenches" to all us assembled.

In April 2018, on Tuesday 3rd, fourteen of us met in The Griffin, Chipping Warden. We didn't have a speaker but Alan showed slides of past Flywheel Festivals, in Bicester, which encouraged us to say we'd go this year. He also played his videos of young Buck & his Brass Ensemble playing to us in Byfield's church on 14th January 2018, which got us all singing.

At our Branch Meeting on Monday 5th March 2018, in Byfield Village Hall's Lower Annexe, our SPEAKERwas Karin Start who told us about her recent medical mission to Ghana, West Africa.

On Tuesday 6th February2018 we assembled in The Royal Oak in Eydon; our SPEAKER our Chaplin, the Rev Stevie Cross provided her "Reflections of a Peripatetic Engineer" (in the aerospace industry).

On 8th January 2018 we were in Byfield Village Hall's Lower Annexe; our SPEAKER Ken Gillbryan told us about Franklin's failed expedition to find the northwest passage.
