Our meeting dates are staggered in the hope it will allow members who cannot attend on one evening to come along on another. We have a meeting every month and on alternate months we meet in the Lower Annexe (recently re-named The Meeting Room) of Byfield's Village Hall NN11 6UT on the month's first Monday at 8 p.m. In months where Bank Holiday is a Monday, that meeting then automatically shifts to the second Monday. As we have a geographical area to cater for we acknowledge the need to "put it about a bit" so every other month we meet on Tuesday evenings elsewhere in our District - see our Meetings' Minutes & Notices pages of this Web site for dates and venues.

We usually assemble in a local hostelry about half an hour prior to our Branch Meeting, and often repair there afterwards. And, we often have "social gatherings", usually lunchtime on the last Wednesday of each month (except December) in a pub somewhere inside our District - again, see Notices.

Meetings where no speaker is scheduled usually last a little over an hour; when we are favoured with a speaker that can add 45 minutes to our sessions.

Byfield District now extends from Catesby in the north to Culworth in the south, The Boddingtons to the west and Little Preston in the east. Web links to various villages in our District can be found on our History page.

The link below should reveal a Google Map centred on Byfield.

Drawing a direct line between Catesby, The Boddingtons, Culworth and Little Preston, you'll see our District is a rough diamond (shape).

Non members, those wishing to know more about the RBL and prospective recruits from all backgrounds and of all ages (remember, you do not have to be ex-service to join the Legion) are welcome to our gatherings. For further information about meetings, and our pre-meeting venues, please contact any of those listed in the table above and visit our Recruitment page herein.

As with most organisations these days, subscription payments are preferred via Direct Debit. However if you do not wish to raise a DD, you can renew your sub by cheque OR credit/debit card "on line" via the following link:

To join please use this link:

However youngsters have to do it the old way because signed parental permission is required.

OR, come to one of our meetings and we'll arrange it then and there.

AND don't forget to view our HISTORY page (as a sub page of this page)
