a 22 mile sponsored walk from Bridgnorth High Street to the
top of brown Clee Hill in aid of the PoppyAppeal. Accompanying him to the finish, is Jim
Hall-Gough the Bridgnorth Branch Standard Bearer.
The Bridgnorth Branch visited the National Memorial Arboretum on 28th April 2013.
We were kindly invited to accompany the Oakengates Branch.
The Bridgnorth Branch helped organise and took part in the 50th Aniversary of the Closure of RAF Bridgnorth, held on June 1st 2013.
Members of the Bridgnorth Branch have been again in our commuity, visiting Shools and Nursing Homes around the Bridgnorth Area. They planted trees and presented cirtificates to comemorate 90 years of The Royal British Legion.
Our Standard Bearer Jim-Hall Gough and Derek Thomas (on the left) collected for the "Poppy Appeal" during the 40's Weekend's in Bridgnorth and raised an amazing £1652! We would like to thank the residents and visitors of our town for their king generosity.
President - Chris Beck & Standard Bearer - Jim Hall Gough attended a Coffee Morning held at St Mary's Church, Billingsley on the 5th November 2013 in aid of the "Poppy Apeal" The total amount raised on that morning was £132.70. We were invited to the event by Rebecca Hadley(Church Warden), photos were suplied of the event by Zoe Baggott(Church Warden)
Bridgnorth RBL Members attended a War Memorial Unveiling on 5th January 2014 at Aston Botterel Church, invited by Ben Upton - RBL Nurse.
Our Branch planted a tree in the Castle Grounds to commemorate 100 years since the start of WW1. Derek Thomas & John Tipton who have both this year served 30 years for the Poppy Appeal, took the honour of Planting the tree with the presence on the Town Mayor.
We had a cheque presented to our Branch for £143.60 by Vanessa Voysey, who completed a sponsored Sky Dive with her Husband Pierre. The donation was much appreciated.
A Local Media Student Madie, interviewed some of our Members and made a short film about The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Madie brought it along to our May meeting for us to view and handed out copies.
Irene, Derek & John were presented out our last Branch meeting with thier awards for 30 years service to the Poppy Appeal.
Rebecca & Zoe, Church Wardens from Billingsley Church presented us with a Cheque for £320 pounds raised at Billingsley Church, during their WW1 memoriam evening on Saturday 2nd August.
