Welcome to the Ashford Branch of The Royal British Legion

3 (1)

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.  Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.  This year sees the Centenary of the end of the Great War and Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday both fall on Sun 11 December 2018.  Full details of all events in 2018 will be published in February 2018.

                                           The Exhortation

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn,

at the going down of the sun, and in the morning

we will remember them.
