Welcome to the Alsager Branch of The Royal British Legion

Remembrance Parade 14th November

The Parade will form on the Alsager Civic Centre car park at 2.10pm. The RBL Stewards will line up the parade in the usual order. It is requested that all Standard Bearers (but no escorts) take up position at the front of the parade where they will be organised by the Royal British Legion Standard Bearer.
The Parade will move off at 2.30pm. There will be a wreath laying ceremony and Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Sandbach Road South, starting at approximately 2.40pm. As in previous years, the youth groups will be drawn up immediately in front of the Memorial, leaving spaces for those laying wreaths to pass through. It would most helpful if those carrying wreaths would position themselves in front of their organisation at the War Memorial. If you wish to order a poppy wreath, please contact Stewart Waring (Alsager 873444). After the ceremony, the parade will reform and march to St Mary’s Church, Crewe Road, for the Remembrance Service, starting at 3pm.
